I found the original twig, that I had molded to make these earrings, at the base of my favorite Oak tree in the yard of my childhood home on Long Island's Northshore. When I was little I used to play on and nearby this tree all the time. I love the tiny buds on this twig. They remind me of the cycles of life and the promise of renewal.
This pair of earrings is cast solid in 10k yellow gold and each hand-made ear wire is also 10k yellow gold. The length of the twig (not including the hanger) is approximately 4.2cm. The width of the twig varies between 1.5mm-4.4mm. Each earring weighs approximately 1.03 grams (the pair together weigh 2.1 grams).
