A solid cast sterling silver tiny cushion sea urchin is set with a 1.5mm lab-created deep blue sapphire at its center and hung on a small soldered sterling silver jump ring. The charm can be purchased by itself (no chain ) or hung on a 40.5 cm (16") thin sterling silver cable chain.
The urchin measures approx. 6.7mm in diameter with a 3.5mm depth. The original tiny sea urchin that I molded to make this ring was found by my great aunt on a Hawaiian beach in the 1950s. During her life, she traveled extensively and I was thrilled to find her shell collection at my parent's house this last summer. I have made a number of pieces using treasures from this magical collection of beautiful shells.
