I found the original twig, that I had molded to make these earrings, at the base of my favorite Oak tree in the yard of my childhood home on Long Island's Northshore. When I was little I used to play on and nearby this tree all the time. I love the tiny buds on this twig. They remind me of the cycles of life and the promise of renewal.
This pair of earrings is cast solid in sterling silver and each hand-made ear wire is also sterling silver. The length of the twig (not including the hanger) is approximately 4.2cm. The width of the twig varies between 1.5mm-4.4mm. Each earring weighs approximately 1 gram (the pair together weigh 2 grams). The twig can be purchased with white silver finish or oxidized black.
