I have been dabbling in pottery over the past 6 months and I have decided to make some of my favorite pieces available for sale here. I am listing small porcelain pieces in my jewelry shop, but I am also listing other stoneware items and larger porcelain items in a different shop called GyreAlchemy, dedicated only to pottery. If you are interested, you can take a look and follow here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GyreAlchemy?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
I threw this porcelain vessel on the wheel, trimmed it on the wheel, then carved the pattern at the leather hard stage and applied green underglaze to the incisions and inside. The piece was bisque-fired and glaze-fired to add a layer of translucent aqua high gloss celadon to the outside and over the top of the dark green underglaze.
It is available with or without a natural rough cork stopper.
This little vessel can be a perfect salt, spice, potion, or stash jar. It can also be used to hold jewelry, small precious keepsakes, or even homemade balms or healing ointments. All glazes used on this piece are all food-safe.
The dimensions (without the cork stopper) are approximately 1.5" tall x 2.6" ( 3.8cm x 6.6cm) wide and the weight is 3.7 oz (28.3g).
Each piece I create is one of a kind and takes many hours of joyful labor to complete.
