I have been dabbling in pottery over the past 6 months and I have decided to make some of my favorite pieces available for sale here. I threw this porcelain bowl on the potter's wheel using a swirl of lovely cobalt blue and white porcelain. Once the piece was leather-hard, I hand-carved the pattern, bisque-fired it, and then applied a dark blue-grey celadon glaze with highlights of white celadon and chartreuse high-fire glaze on the rim and inside. I like how it turned out!
This bowl can function on its own as a pretty stand-alone object, or it can hold any number of things. It can be used to hold jewelry, small precious keepsakes, or even a few clementine oranges or a couple of small lemons, nuts, hummus, or whatever your heart desires. :). All glazes are food-safe.
The dimensions are approximately 2.3" tall x 4.5" wide ( 6cm x 10.5cm) and the weight is 12.5 oz (.35kg). PLEASE NOTE: The listing pictures showing size are shot using cm rulers.
Please wash the bowl by hand only and please do not put it in the microwave.
Each piece I create is one of a kind and takes many hours of joyful labor to complete.
