I threw this porcelain vessel on the potter's wheel using a swirl of lovely cobalt blue and white porcelain. When the piece was leather-hard, I trimmed it on the wheel then hand-carved in the spots and painted yellow and red into the incisions. Once the piece was bisque-fired, I applied dark grey-blue and white celadon glazes to the inside and a clear gloss high-fire glaze to the outside. It can be purchased as is (vessel only) or with a small natural cork stopper.
This little vessel is a perfect salt, spice, potion, or stash jar. It can also hold jewelry, small precious keepsakes, homemade balms or healing ointments. The glazes used on this piece are all food-safe. Please hand wash only.
The dimensions (without the cork stopper) are approximately 2" tall x 2.6" wide (4.8cm x 6.7cm) and the weight is 3.3oz (.094 kg). PLEASE NOTE: The listing pictures showing size are shot using cm rulers.
Each piece I create is one of a kind and takes many hours of joyful labor to complete.
