I threw this small white porcelain bowl on the wheel. I carved the pattern at the leather-hard stage and applied underglaze to the incisions. The bowl was bisque-fired and then glaze-fired with a clear high-gloss on the outside and a high-gloss turquoise glaze inside.
This little container is perfect for salt or spices. It can also hold jewelry or small precious keepsakes and can even be used as an incense burner (please note that incense may stain the inside with resinous smoke residue, which can be washed away with a little scrubbing). All glazes used on this piece are food-safe. Handwash only, and please do not put it in the microwave.
The bowl is approximately 1.7" tall x 2.9" wide (4.3cm x 7.3cm) and weighs 4 oz (.113kg). PLEASE NOTE: The listing pictures showing size are shot using cm rulers.
Each piece I create is one of a kind and takes many hours of joyful labor to complete.
