This necklace was made as a collaboration with my friend Stephanie. She is an avid fossil collector and has a huge collection of amazing fossilized teeth and shells. She approached me to make her some custom necklaces from several of her treasures and was kind enough to send me some truly stunning specimens to mold and cast in solid silver.
The 1st of 2 different versions, this awesome megalodon tooth is cast in solid sterling silver and hung on an 18"(45.7cm) or 20" (51 cm) 2.5mm wide sterling sterling venetian box chain. Both tooth and chain are partially oxidized black. The tooth measures roughly 36.5mm high, 30.5 mm wide and 6.5mm deep at thickest part. It's heavy, weighing 1.25 oz with the 18" chain and 1.30 oz with the 20" chain. A beautiful, badass necklace!
