Sterling Silver and Antique Purple Amethyst "Gail Ring"-US size 6-Ready to Ship
This is a version of a ring I originally made as a custom project, commisioned by my brother-in-law as a gift for his wife Gail. Recently a friend gave me a small parcel of antique 18th Century amethysts (Georgian Era I think), several of which fit this setting pefectly. With Charles' and Gail's blessings I am adding the "Gail Ring" to my line.
The braids that form the band, and the basket setting that cradles the genuine vintage Amethyst are solid cast Sterling Silver. The amethyst measures 9mm x 10.5mm and weighs approximately 4 carats. The color of the amethyst changes between true purple and violet when viewed from different angles and it's a lovely, flashy stone. There are a few very minor interior inclusions, but none that come to the surface.
This ring is a US size 6.
