This hummingbird was originally made in gold as a custom piece for a good friend. It is an original piece, which I sculpted from scratch in wax and then had molded and cast in precious metal. I really like how it came out, so I have decided to make a few more in limited quantities, cast in silver as well as gold.
The hummingbird in this listing is solid cast sterling silver with a 1mm genuine black diamond set as the eye. The pendant measures approx 2.7 cm high x 2.6 cm wide x 3.7mm deep and the silver is oxidized to reveal the details. The bail is hidden on the back of the bird and as a result, the bird moves on the neck in a very interesting way-sort of like a real hummingbird might! The bail opening measures approx 4.6mm x 2.5 mm wide and the pendant weighs approx 3.8 grams.
